Privacy policy

Own Bearings is operated by Peak Perspective Media LLC. Questions or requests: support@ownbearings.com.

What we process

  • Account username, a password hash and recovery-code digest, session and API-key hashes, and OAuth client and grant records. We do not store your password or recovery code in plain text.
  • Birth date and time with an explicit UTC offset, optional IANA time zone, and time uncertainty when you request a chart. If you choose to save, we store one primary birth profile, chart, sensitivity results, and chosen business or life focus. We do not currently collect a birth city, hospital, or location field.
  • Usage counts and request fingerprints for quotas, safe retries, and abuse prevention.
  • Stripe customer, subscription, invoice and event identifiers, subscription state, and billing issues. Stripe handles payment details; our app does not handle or store card numbers.

Why and with whom

We use this information to provide accounts and chart tools, remember data you choose to save, authorize connections, apply usage limits, process subscriptions, and address billing errors or abuse. Cloudflare provides hosting and D1 database infrastructure. Stripe processes payments. Their services process data under their own terms and privacy policies: Cloudflare privacy and Stripe privacy.

The app does not directly call an AI model provider. The chat or MCP client you choose receives birth data and chart results you share with it and processes them under its own terms. A birthplace you type into that chat is handled by that host, even though our app has no place field. Check the host's privacy settings before sharing sensitive details. Connected apps may keep copies after access is revoked.

Saving and deleting

Saving a primary birth profile is optional and requires explicit consent. You can delete it in your account. This removes the saved birth details, chart, and sensitivity results, revokes app connections, and retires earlier request IDs. Your account, usage counts, and billing records remain.

To request account deletion, access, or correction, contact support@ownbearings.com. Full account deletion is not currently self-service. There is no automatic deletion deadline for all records. We retain account, usage, security, and billing records as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the record and applicable obligations; contact us for details about your request. Deleting here does not delete copies held by your chat host or payment provider.

Cookies and browser storage

The account session uses the necessary __Host-self_insight_session cookie. It is Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, and expires after eight hours. The local connection simulator temporarily uses sessionStorage for its OAuth PKCE flow and removes the flow when it is consumed or canceled. We do not currently include analytics or advertising trackers.

Your choices

Choose what you share, whether to save your primary profile, and which apps to authorize. You can revoke connections and API keys in your account. Contact support@ownbearings.com about privacy rights available where you live. The service is for adults 18 and older.
